Nana Ama

A committed and motivated professional with over 13 years of experience in the insurance industry, Nana Ama specializes in cultivating business relationships that drive growth and provide effective solutions. Previously, she served as Technical Manager at GN Reinsurance Company Limited in Accra and as Senior Underwriter at GLICO General Insurance Company in Ghana. Her educational qualifications include the following credentials:

• Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, attained between August 2005 and May 2009.
• Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, achieved in August 2014.
• A Graduate Certificate in Management at the Australian Institute of Business from August 2015 to January 2016.
• A Master of Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Business
• Diploma as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana, obtained in 2021.
• Diploma as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana, obtained in 2021.

Some of her notable accomplishments include:

• Leading the Member implementation team for new operational software at GN Reinsurance, serving as a Trainer of trainers.
• Actively engaged as a member of the GN Re IFRS 17 Implementation team from 2019 to the present.
• Played a key role in the implementation of the GN Re BCMS project.
• Attained the distinction of being ranked third among students at the Ghana Insurance College in 2012.
• Holds a position as a Member of the Electoral Committee at the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana since 2017.
