Mr. Deepak Prasad brings with him an impressive background of 40 years in the General Insurance & Reinsurance Industry which showcases his commitment to excellence and attention to detail. He holds a graduation degree in Geology (Honors). His extensive experience is primarily derived from his tenure at New India Assurance Company Ltd, the largest General Insurance Company in India, where he dedicated 28 years of his career, mainly in managerial positions with a profit center approach.

Mr. Prasad has also served on the Board of GIC Bhutan Re for couple of years. He spent eight and a half years at the General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re), where he oversaw various critical functions such as inward and outward retrocession, property reinsurance, and agriculture reinsurance. His remarkable journey at GIC Re includes a two-year stint as CEO & MD of GIC Re South Africa, as well as nine months as a whole-time Director & General Manager at GIC Re.
